Riverside Fire and Police personnel responded to the rollover crash about 12:15 a.m., after several people called 911 to report the accident to City of Riverside emergency dispatchers.

Emergency first responders arrived at the scene within minutes and they located two vehicles, described as a black sedan and a gray SUV that were involved in the collision.

Firefighters found the SUV on its side and they quickly determined one victim inside the overturned vehicle would have to be cut and rescued from the wrecked vehicle.

Firefighters performed a physical extrication to free the trapped and injured victim.

AMR medics transported the man to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. Officials have not yet determined if speed or alcohol and/or drug intoxication were contributing factors in this accident.
