HEMET: Crash sends car careening into street sign, fence

HEMET – A traffic accident between two vehicles sent a car careening into a sign and through a residential fence Sunday, May 7. There were no reported injuries related to the two-vehicle crash, that happened at the intersection of N. Hamilton and W. Latham Avenues in Hemet.

Hemet Fire and Police personnel responded to the scene of the accident about 12:25 p.m., after several people called 911 to report the non-injury traffic collision.

When they arrived, emergency first responders found two vehicles that were involved in the crash. Both vehicles, described as a grey Honda Civic and a white Toyota truck, sustained moderate damage in the crash.

Officers found the truck pulled over on the side of the road and the Honda in the front yard of a residence. A metal fence around the residential property and a street sign were both heavily damaged in the wreck.

American Medical Response medics evaluated the two drivers. Both declined further medical treatment.

Hemet police officers are investigating the cause of the collision. Their investigation is active and ongoing.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
