MENIFEE: Family of four displaced after fire destroys home
MENIFEE – Three adults and a juvenile were displaced by an early morning fire that destroyed a Menifee mobile home Tuesday, May 15. The home where the devastating blaze erupted is on the 33400 block of Lindenberger Road in Menifee.
Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighters, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies and American Medical Response medics responded to the blaze about 3:43 a.m.
Twenty-five firefighters from five engine companies and one truck company responded to the fire, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer Jody Haghemann said in an incident report. They were assisted by two water tenders and a breathing support unit.
“The first arriving engine company reported an exterior shed fully involved with a double-wide mobile home 3/4 involved,” said Haghemann.
Firefighters immediately began an aggressive attack on the fire, which they managed to knock down more than an hour later at 5:08 a.m.
After the blaze was extinguished, fire resources remained at the scene for several hours conducting extensive overhaul operations.
Southern California Edison personnel were summoned to the scene to shut off utilities to the gutted residence, which sustained extensive fire damage and was left uninhabitable by the blaze.
American Red Cross members responded to the scene to assist the family of four that was displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
