HEMET: Two-vehicle crash sends three to hospital
HEMET — Three people were hospitalized with minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash, Tuesday, May 30. The minor-injury traffic collision happened at the intersection of S. Lyon and W. Stetson Avenues in Hemet.

Hemet Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene of the crash about 2 p.m., after several people called 911 to report the accident.
According to 911 callers, two female drivers and a small child all sustained minor injuries and were all still inside their wrecked vehicles requesting medical assistance.
An on-duty California Department of Fish and Wildlife game warden was one of the first officials at the scene of the accident and he checked on the victim’s injuries and assisted with traffic control until police and fire officials arrived.
When they arrived, emergency first responders located two vehicles, described as a red VW Beetle and a burgundy Nissan Frontier pickup truck. Both vehicles had sustained moderate to major front-end damage. r the crash, the truck was left in the intersection and the VW came to rest about 100 yards away on Stetson.
During their investigation, multiple witnesses to the collision told officers the VW was traveling westbound on Stetson when the driver reportedly failed to stop for a red light and smashed into the Nissan truck that was turning northbound onto Lyon Avenue.
Hemet police officers are investigating the cause of the collision.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
