PALM SPRINGS: Motorcyclist critically injured in crash with sedan
PALM SPRINGS — A motorcyclist was critically injured in a collision with a car Tuesday evening, May 30. The crash happened at the intersection of Indian Canyon Drive and East Via Escuela in Palm Springs.
City of Palm Spring police and fire officials responded to the scene of the major-injury accident about 6:10 p.m., after 911 callers reported the collision. 911 callers told emergency dispatchers the motorcyclist had been involved in a wreck with a sedan.
When they arrived, emergency first responders located a damaged motorcycle and rider down in the roadway. The driver of the sedan who was involved in the crash remained at the scene and was reportedly cooperating with officials investigating the crash.
Firefighter/paramedics treated the severely injured motorcycle rider before medics transported him to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. He was listed in critical condition.
While the victims were being treated at the scene, officers investigated the cause of the wreck, which is still under investigation.
During their investigation, officers called for the temporary closure of the intersection. Officials reopened the roads and intersection about four hours later, at 10 p.m.
Officials have not ruled out alcohol or drug intoxication as contributing factors in the collision.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
