BREAKING: NUEVO: Officials investigating after two found dead inside residence

NUEVO — Very few details have been released and facts are still slowly emerging, but sheriff’s officials have confirmed that deputies located at least two people dead inside a residence earlier this evening, Wednesday, June 7.

The deadly incident happened in the 30700 block of Debbie Lane near Yucca Avenue, east of Lakview Avenue and west of Hanson Avenue, in the unincorporated community of Nuevo.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Perris Police Station responded to the residence about 4 p.m., regarding “a suspicious circumstance call,” Riverside County Sheriff’s spokesperson Deputy Armando Muñoz said in an interview from the scene of the incident and ongoing investigation.

When deputies arrived, they “entered a residence and located one deceased male and one deceased female,” said Muñoz, who later updated that both were adults.

Investigators from the Perris station and the department’s Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Their investigation is active and ongoing.

While the investigation continues, officials have closed Debbie Lane in order to preserve potential evidence and keep curious onlookers away from the crime scene.

No further updates have been provided; however, sheriff’s officials from the department’s Media Information Bureau are expect to provide additional information soon.
