LA QUINTA: Transient arrested after allegedly stabbing victim multiple times
LA QUINTA — Authorities arrested a transient they allege stabbed another man multiple times Friday, Aug. 4. The stabbing happened in the 78-200 block of Calle Tampico, near desert Club Drive, in La Quinta.

After an investigation, officials arrested Brandon Sean Williams, a 32-year-old transient. He was located and arrested at the location where the stabbing occurred.
Williams was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm and causing great bodily injury, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Alan Northrup explained in a written press release after the incident and arrest.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s La Quinta Police Station responded to the location at 4:27 p.m., regarding an assault with a deadly weapon.
When deputies arrived, they located a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Deputies also located Williams.
Firefighter/paramedics provided medical aid to the victim before AMR medics transported the man to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No further information or updates were immediately available regarding the victim or his current condition.
An online jail records search revealed Williams remains in custody, held on $65,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Indio Larson Justice Center Aug. 9.
