PERRIS: Man hospitalized, injured in machinery-related, industrial accident

PERRIS — A man was injured in a machinery-related industrial accident Thursday morning, Aug. 10. The incident, that sent the victim to the hospital with moderate injuries, happened in the 270 block of Rider Street in Perris.

Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters responded to the location about 11:14 a.m., after being notified regarding the machinery-related, industrial accident. The victim, who has not been identified, was reportedly injured after his “lower extremity” became entangled in an unspecified machine, according to fire officials.

Eleven firefighters from two engine companies and one truck company responded to the accident scene, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer Jody Hagemann explained in an incident report.

When they arrived, firefighters immediately began the process of extricating the victim’s lower extremity from the machine, said Hagemann. After the victim was freed from the machine, American Medical Response medics transported him to an area hospital by ground ambulance.

No further information was available regarding the victim’s injuries or the cause of the work-related accident, which is under investigation.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 13 – soon to be 14 – grandchildren.
