TEMECULA: Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library offering Resume Writing Workshop in October
TEMECULA ─ Anyone seeking a new career or who is having difficulty creating the perfect resume is encouraged to join MSJC’s Career Technical Education Counselor Matt Leyden for an afternoon workshop that City of Temecula’s Adult Services Librarian, Serene Salgado, said is” bound to help with your career goals.”
The workshop seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library.
During the workshop, “Mr. Leyden will explain what an effective resume should look like, analyze key components of a résumé, offer tips on customizing a résumé to highlight strengths, share examples of various resume formats, and touch on the importance of a cover letter,” Salgado explained, saying, “A question and answer session will follow the presentation.”
Sponsored by the Friends of the Temecula Libraries, this program is offered to adults 18 years of age and older and is the perfect opportunity to learn about different necessary for finding a success career in today’s job market. Space is limited and carpooling is encouraged.

Trevor spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg, breaking his back and suffering both spinal cord and brain injuries in an off-duty accident.
During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations, including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center and Lake Elsinore Station, along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
