SAN JACINTO: Firefighters battle garage fire that injured one
SAN JACINTO — Firefighters spent about one hour battling a residential structure fire that broke out in the garage of a private residence, Thursday, Sept. 28. The fire happened on the 1800 block of Villines Avenue near Yeats Place in San Jacinto.

Cal Fire/Riverside County and Soboba firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the blaze about 12:57 p.m.
Eighteen firefighters from three engine companies and one truck company responded to the reported fire, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer Jody Hagemann explained in an incident report. They were assisted by Soboba firefighters, a breathing support unit and a paramedic squad.
“The first arriving engine company reported a well-established fire in the garage of a single family home,” said Hagemann.
While firefighters battled the garage fire, officials called for the temporary closure of Villines Avenue, to ensure the safety of officials at the scene.
Paramedics evaluated and treated one person at the scene for minor injuries.
Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas Company were summoned to the scene to shut off utilities to the residence.
Firefighters remained at the scene conducting overhaul and mop-up operations for about two hours.
Officials are working to determine the cause of the fire. Their investigation is active and ongoing.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
