HEMET: Two injured in 3-vehicle, head-on collision
HEMET — Two people were hospitalized after a three-vehicle, head-on collision, Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 22. The accident happened at the intersection of E. Florida and N. Buena Vista Street in Hemet.
City of Hemet Police and Fire personnel along with American Medical Response medics were dispatched to the scene of the injury crash just after 1 p.m., after other motorists and witnesses called 911 to report the wreck.
When officials arrived they found three vehicles blocking the roadway and intersection. The vehicles were described as a blue sedan and gray coupe that both sustained major front-end damage and a white pickup truck that sustained minor front-end damage.
Based on the injuries, officials at the scene requested a second AMR ambulance and supervisor to respond to the location to assist.
While paramedics evaluated and treated the victims and the damaged vehicles were towed from the scene, officers investigated the cause of the collision. During their investigation, officials called for the temporary closure of the intersection and traffic was diverted onto other, nearby streets.
Two victims were eventually transported to an area hospital for further treatment. No details or updates were provided regarding the nature or extent of the victim’s injuries.
