JURUPA VALLEY: Firefighters extricate driver from wrecked vehicle after accident
JURUPA VALLEY — Firefighters extricated a person left trapped inside a vehicle after a traffic collision, Friday afternoon, Jan. 5. The accident happened in the area of Etiwanda and Philadelphia Avenues in Jurupa Valley, near the border of Ontario.
Eleven firefighters from two engine companies and one truck company responded to the scene of the accident at 1:06 p.m., Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire spokesperson April Newman explained in an incident report. They were assisted by Ontario Fire Department.
“The first arriving engine company reported one vehicle with one person trapped inside,” said Newman.
Firefighters set up to begin a cut and rescue operation and used the “Jaws of Life” to extricate the victim from the wrecked vehicle.
“The patient was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital with moderate injuries,” said Newman.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
