SHINGLETOWN: 65-year-old Redding woman found dead on Shingletown road
SHINGLETOWN — Officials are conducting a death investigation after a woman’s body was found on a Shingletown roadway, Tuesday morning, Jan. 23.
Shasta County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Northwood Drive about 8:30 a.m., after receiving reports of the woman’s body being found deceased in the roadway. Coroner’s officials later identified the victim as 65-year-old, Carole Sue Zaninovich, of Redding.
According to coroner’s officials, Zaninovich’s family has been notified and a postmortem autopsy was conducted; however, the cause of death is pending the results of toxicology testing.
Zaninovich did not have any injuries that would indicate that she was involved in a traffic-related collision and officials do not suspect foul play in her death.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
