VALLE VISTA: Motorcyclist hospitalized with major injuries after collision
VALLE VISTA — A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries when the rider was involved in a collision with another vehicle, Sunday afternoon, Feb. 4. The wreck happened at the intersection of Florida Avenue and 8th street in the unincorporated community of Valle Vista, east of Hemet.
Police and fire officials along with other emergency first responders were dispatched to the scene of the wreck shortly before 5 p.m., after receiving reports of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.
911 callers advised the crash launched the rider into the door-frame of the car and the motorcyclist was still down in the roadway and not getting back up.
When officials arrived at the scene they found a wrecked, blue and white, Yamaha motorcycle and damaged car, described as a white hatchback, in the intersection.
While Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire-Paramedics treated the injured motorcyclist, CHP officers began investigating the accident and clearing the motorcycle and other debris from the roadway. Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies assisted with traffic control.
American Medical Response medics eventually transported the critically injured motorcyclist to Hemet Valley Hospital for further treatment. There have been no updates regarding the rider’s injuries and no information was available regarding the occupants of the hatchback.
According to witnessed, the accident happened when the Ford, which was traveling eastbound on Florida Avenue, attempted to make a left turn onto 8th Street. The motorcycle, which had been traveling westbound was unable to stop in time and struck the car broadside.
CHP is investigating the collision and have not yet released any information.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
