HEMET: Juvenile probationers arrested after failing to yield during traffic stop
HEMET –Two juveniles, already on probation for burglary, were arrested after refusing to yield for a motor officer after the official tried to conduct a traffic enforcement stop on a newer, unregistered BMW with paper dealership plates.

Yesterday afternoon’s incident happened around 4:15 p.m., when a City of Hemet officer attempted to stop a grey BMW that was traveling south on N. Kirby St. approaching Florida Ave.
The driver refused to yield to the officer’s lights and siren and continued traveling southbound on Kirby to Acacia, where the vehicle turned left, heading east.
The BMW continued to the 2200 block of W. Acacia before other patrol vehicles converged on the area, at which time the driver yielded, pulling over just before the Villa Del Sol Mobile Estates.
Officers determined the driver was unlicensed and that the BMW was not registered. Officials subsequently towed the sedan.
Both juveniles were ultimately taken into custody; however it was not immediately known if they were arrested or what charges they could be facing. Citing the juvenile’s ages, officials have not released any information regarding the traffic stop or the status of the pair.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 – soon to be 15 – grandchildren.
