– We are fortunate enough to meet a lot of people. Some people more than once. Some people in the same week. Last Wednesday we received a phone call from a woman stating that her vehicle had been broken into. Video at the location was able to provide the officer with a very detailed description of the person that did it. That same person was still sitting in front of the location, three hours after he broke into the car. #cantmakethisup Nicholas Rich (see last week’s Roundup) still had the victim’s property in his pocket. #nothispants #caughtonvideo It was back to #CBDC for Mr. Rich.

– Thursday Julia Reynolds attempted to cash a fraudulent check at a local business. Unfortunately for Julia, the employee recognized her #fakeID and called MPD. Inside Julia’s car, Officers Bradley and Hayes located additional fake ID’s, credit cards belonging to people other than Julia and counterfeit checks. Julia went to #CBDC for forgery, fraud and false identification.

– It’s pretty safe to say that everyone is sick and tired of looking at graffit #itsnotpretty, so when our officers catch someone in the act, it’s certainly worthy of the Roundup. Early Thursday morning, officers spotted Christopher Crawford walking away from a shopping center where all of the stores were closed. #nothinggoodhappensaftermidnight. When the officers contacted Christopher, they saw that he had fresh paint on him. #clue1 The officers then saw the cans of spray paint. #clue2 #itsnotmypaint A records check of Mr. Crawford revealed that he was on probation for vandalism. #clue3 Guess what was just around the corner…fresh graffiti! Mr. Crawford was less than cordial with the officers #justbenice #whyareyoudoingthistome, but that’s ok. Not many people like to go to #thebyrdhouse.

– Friday morning, when the rest of the town was sleeping, Adam Frljuckic and Valerie Karnes were caught driving around Murrieta in a #stolencar or #rollinstolen or #ridindirty #whicheveryouprefer. Officer Williams took their stolen ride, meth and burglary tools and escorted them to #CBDC. #hessuchapartypooper

– Friday afternoon MPD received a call from a local Starbucks stating that a female had grabbed several of their reusable cups and ran out the door. We’re all for protecting the environment, but come on. Officer Hollenweger caught up to the #environmentallyconscience female down the street. Heather Harris went to #thebyrdhouse for theft and the cups were returned to Starbucks. #FYI #thebyrdhouse uses #recyclablecupstoo

– Friday was a busy day. Officer Hom was in the Wal-Mart parking lot when he found a stolen car. Two females and a male were seen walking into the store, so naturally, Officer Hom wanted to meet them. #itsthepolitethingtodo #manners Johnny Alcantar was located trying to hide in the bathroom, but you can’t hide from #theHom. Officer Bradley located one of the females, Jessica Spiegel attempting to leave the store. I’d leave too if I had four felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants. #doh #justtakecareofthem Jessica and Johnny spent the night in #thebyrdhouse and the third female was released at the scene.

– Gas is expensive, we get it. But stealing gas is not cool. #almost5bucksagallon David Rivas was caught Sunday afternoon siphoning gas from a vehicle. #weseeyousittinginyourvan David went to #CBCD for theft and violating his #probation.

– Corporal Romero was conducting extra patrol at the Residence Inn when he located a stolen vehicle. #somanystolenvehicles It was 3:12 a.m. so imagine his surprise when the person driving the stolen car approached Corporal Romero and apologized for his poor parking. #manners Felix Lewis spent the rest of the night in #CBDC and the car was returned to the owner. #godirectlytojail

– If you’re on parole and have #meth and #heroin, Officer Williams will find you. It’s like he has #radar for that kind of stuff. Carl Devine went to #CBDC for the narcotics and violating his parole. Matthew Vanderwater also went to #thebyrdhouse for narcotics.
