Hemet Fire Department and American Medical Response were dispatched to the DMV office about 10:30 a.m. this morning, after 911 callers reported that the young victim was suffering from a medical emergency and possibly having a seizure.
It was not immediately known if the emergency was heat related, but City officials have again been warning citizens about possible heat-related injuries as temperatures in the San Jacinto Valley have again been creeping into the mid-100’s.
After stabilizing the toddler, AMR medics transported her to Hemet Valley Hospital for further evaluation, observation, and follow-up treatment.
Hemet resident Roberto Cruz later said he was “right behind the little girl” when the crisis began.
“Thankfully there was a guy that knew how to handle the situation,” Cruz explained, adding, “My respects to him!”
Officials have not released any information about the incident and the victim’s current condition is not known.
