– Sunday night was busy. Officer Mehr was driving on California Oaks around 9:45 p.m. when the LOJACK in her vehicle was activated indicating that there was a stolen vehicle nearby. Additional officers responded to the area and began looking for the #g-ride. Like a game of Marco Polo, the officers swam trough the neighborhoods and parking lots, following the signal. #Marco #Polo Officer Pitetti quickly located a car matching the description of the #rollinstolen entering the northbound 15, but it had a different license plate. #howodd The officers conducted a traffic stop on the matching vehicle and low and behold, that was it. Someone had swapped the license plate in an attempt to hide the fact that it was stolen. #anothercharge Long story short, Corie Jamison, who is on #PRCS for vehicle theft #gofigure was found to be in possession of modified keys which are used to steal cars. #youdontsay Corie’s passenger Michael Moore was having a bad night, because even though he “just got in the car” the officer discovered his felony no bail warrant for violating his #PRCS. Corie went to #thebyrdhouse on an array of charges and Michael went for his outstanding warrant.

– While Officer Mehr was checking for the stolen car, Corporal Abbate responded to a local eating establishment to check on a couple that had been loitering for several hours. Corporal Abbate contacted Alexis Bullias and Jonathan Keller. A records check revealed that Ms. Bullias had a warrant and was on probation for narcotics. A records check of the motorcycle that they had arrived on revealed that it was stolen. Alexis and Jonathan’s night was going from bad to worse. When Corporal Abbate checked Alexis’ bag (pursuant to her arrest and terms of her probation) he found stolen checks and narcotics paraphernalia. To recap; stolen motorcycle, probation, warrant, stolen checks and narcotics paraphernalia. Oh, and Alexis was out on bail from a prior arrest. #outonbail #freshouttajail #californiadreamin Alexis and Jonathan were arrested and transported to #CBDC by Corporal Abbate.

– Let’s talk about car burglaries. Unfortunately, we live in a day and age where people will take just about anything. #seriouslygetajob You know all about the #9PMroutine and that you need to remove your valuables and lock your cars at night. But you need to do the same thing in the middle of the day too. When you go to the gym, to the store, to the trampoline park, to drop the kids off at school you need to take your purse and wallet with you. I know, I know. It’s so inconvenient. But you know what’s even more inconvenient? Having to deal with your banks and car insurance when some schmuck breaks your window and steals your wallet. And believe me, they will steal it. If you really do need to leave your purse and wallet in the car, can you do us a favor? Can you do a little better job at hiding it? Trevor Montgomery, 47, recently moved to the Intermountain area of Shasta County from Riverside County and runs Riverside County News Source and Shasta County News Source. Trevor spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg, breaking his back and suffering both spinal cord and brain injuries in an off-duty accident. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations, including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center and Lake Elsinore Station, along with other locations.
