All invited to go “Exploring Together” during Old Town Temecula Community Theater’s 2018-2019 Classical Series
TEMECULA ─ Temecula Presents is inviting all Temecula residents and visitors to join them and go “Exploring Together” as they collaborate with the California Chamber Orchestra for the 2018-2019 Classical Series at Old Town Temecula Community Theater.

The Exploring Together themed season offers a “music-filled journey around the globe,” and launches Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m., with the Telegraph Quartet.
The Telegraph Quartet first appeared at Carnegie Hall in Weill Recital Hall in 2015 along with violinist Ian Swensen and pianist Jeff LaDeur, and will be return to Carnegie Hall in 2018 for its Naumburg Award Recital featuring the world premiere of Robert Sirota’s third string quartet.
The quartet will be opening the concert with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s lyrical String Quartet in D major, K. 575 “The Prussian,” followed by Erwin Schulhoff’s Five Pieces for string quartet; described as a collection of “spirited and colorful dances.”
The quartet will be concluding the program with Antonin Dvořák’s warm and playful String Quartet No. 10 in E-flat Major, Op. 51 “Slavonic.”
The exploration continues with the California Chamber Orchestra as they take music lovers on a music-filled journey around the globe.
With four performances intended to take listeners “somewhere familiar on the way to something new and unique,” the orchestra will first be performing Places on Nov. 3.
Next, in partnership with David Wells and the Temecula Valley Master Chorale, the orchestra will be performing Gifts on Dec. 1.
Cellist Lars Hoefs will be joining the orchestra to perform Love on Feb. 2, 2019; and the orchestra’s last performance is Connections on Apr. 27, 2019.
“I am so excited to be your guide for this musical journey,” Dana Zimbric, Artistic Director and Conductor of the California Chamber Orchestra recently enthused. “At each stop along the way, I’ll put the music in context with stories about the history, art, people and places that helped shape what we’re hearing.”
Temecula Presents’ 14th Classical Music Season also features Fei-Fei, solo pianist, on Jan. 5, 2019; and Joshua Roman, cellist, on May 25, 2019.

Trevor Montgomery, 47, recently moved to the Intermountain area of Shasta County from Riverside County and runs Riverside County News Source and Shasta County News Source. Additionally, he writes for several other news organizations; including Riverside County based newspapers, Valley News, The Valley Chronicle, and Anza Valley Outlook; as well as Bonsall/Fallbrook Village News in San Diego County and Mountain Echo in Shasta County.
Trevor spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg, breaking his back, and suffering both spinal cord and brain injuries in an off-duty accident. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
