City of Redding Police and Fire Departments, along with other emergency personnel, were dispatched to the scene shortly before 2:30 p.m., after receiving reports of the rollover accident.

When officials arrived they found a silver Toyota sedan on its roof just to the east of the center median of Churn Creek Rd. A blue mini-van with minor rear-end damage was stopped nearby.

Paramedics evaluated the involved drivers and both declined further medical treatment at the scene.

The accident and subsequent investigation caused minor delays throughout the area, while officers called for the temporary closure of the northbound lanes of Churn Creek Rd., as well as the closure of the southbound left turn lane.

The Toyota was eventually righted back onto its wheels before both it and the van were towed from the scene.

Redding PD is investigating the crash and officials have not released any information regarding their investigation, which is ongoing.
