CHP’s log indicates the accident involves a two-door car and pickup truck pulling a 5th wheel trailer. According to the log, a woman is possibly trapped inside one of the two wrecked vehicles and both directions of travel on the rural mountain Hwy are blocked.

CHP, Cal Fire Shasta County, and other emergency personnel, were dispatched to the scene about 9 p.m., after receiving reports of the two-vehicle crash.

911 callers reported that a female was trapped inside one of the involved vehicles and that vehicle parts and debris were scattered across the roadway and blocking both lanes.

When officials arrived they found a Ford F350 pickup truck and trailer overturned on their sides, blocking parts of the highway. A green Acura TL coupe was found against a nearby embankment.

Officials have not released any details about the nature and extent of the victims’ injuries, which have been described as minor, or if anyone has been transported for further treatment.

As of 10:30 p.m., a second tow truck was still headed to the location and CHP’s investigation is active and ongoing at the scene.

CHP updated at 11 p.m., that the eastbound lane of the highway had been reopened to traffic.

This is a developing story that will be updated as new information is available.
