Sticky-fingered snack-snatching scoundrel snagged after Anderson Youth Soccer snack shack spree

ANDERSON — Authorities snagged a shady scoff-law they say broke into the Anderson Youth Soccer snack bar at Anderson River Park and stole several sacks-full of sugary sweets and salty snacks early Friday morning, Oct. 12.

Public Works staff members discovered the senseless burglary while performing their daily cleaning duties around the park located south of the Sacramento River, and reported the break in and thefts to Anderson Police Department.

Officers who answered the call for service and responded to the scene soon discovered that someone had “pried open the snack bar window, stole food items from inside,” Anderson PD later explained in a social media release. According to officials, the snack scrounging scoundrel also scribbled graffiti on the inside walls of the snack shack.

Officers searched the area but were not immediately able to locate the sticky-fingered sugar bandit.

Shortly afterward, Public Works employees spied a man, later identified by officers as Sage Revilla, 19, of Anderson, sleeping inside a restroom stall near the food truck area of the park.

Upon being discovered in his overnight shelter, Sage snatched up his stolen stuff and made his escape, striding straight toward the street leading away from the sports park.

Quick responding officials soon spotted and stopped Sage, who was found to be shouldering the proverbial smoking gun – in the form of two snack-stuffed satchels.

After being caught “snack-handed,” the sneak-thief conceded to the scandalous snatching and was subsequently arrested. He was later booked into Shasta County Jail on charges of burglary and vandalism.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
