BREAKING: Officials at scene of Hemet stabbing, search for 2 men ongoing

HEMET — Authorities are searching for two men they believe may have been involved in a Hemet stabbing that left one victim hospitalized earlier this evening. The incident, which is still an active crime scene at this time, happened at an apartment complex on the 1200 block of W. Oakland Ave., between N. Elk St. and N. Hamilton Ave.

City of Hemet Police and Fire Departments, along with other emergency personnel, were dispatched to the scene around 6 p.m., after receiving reports of a victim who had possibly been shot in the hand, according to official police and fire radio traffic. While officers raced to the location fire and rescue personnel staged nearby, waiting for the all clear to enter the area.

Within moments officers updated that the alleged suspects had already fled the area and medical personnel were cleared to respond into the crime scene and tend to the victim’s injuries, which were determined to have been caused by a knife.

Officers who had converged on the scene quickly began fanning out into the area searching for two possible suspects.

The first suspect was described as being a white male adult in his late-20’s, with a bald head, approximately 6’0”, with “a lot of tattoos.” The second suspect was also a white male adult, possibly in his late-20’s, approximately 5’5”, with “darker skin.”

The victim was eventually transported to Hemet Valley Hospital in unknown condition.

Officers have not yet released any information regarding their investigation, which is active and ongoing at the scene.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
