Hemet police officers were conducting proactive patrol when they spotted three people sitting inside a parked pickup truck inside the bank’s parking lot.

When officials conducted a records check they learned the pickup truck had been reported stolen from the Morongo area last Sept. and had not yet been recovered.

Officers contacted the three occupants from the truck and learned the two men both had active arrest warrants and both were subsequently arrested. The woman, who was behind the driver’s wheel of the vehicle when officers contacted the three, was arrested for being in possession of the stolen vehicle.

All three subjects were transported to Hemet Jail and the pickup truck was later returned to the registered owner.

As of this report, no booking information for the trio was available.
