Warrant service leads to wanted parolee, stolen vehicle

COACHELLA — A Coachella warrant service led to the arrest of a wanted parolee and recovery of a stolen vehicle yesterday afternoon, Thursday, Jan. 10. The incident and arrest happened near the 46000 block of Harrison Place, according to sheriff’s officials.

Deputies assigned to the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted the arrest warrant service about 3 p.m., Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. Paul Heredia later explained.

During the service of the warrant CVVCGTF members located and arrested documented criminal street gang member, Noe Holguin, 27, of Indio, for an outstanding parole violation warrant. Deputies also found Holguin was in possession of a stolen vehicle, which was located on the premises, according to Heredia.

After his arrest, Holguin was booked at Indio Jail and later transferred to Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning. Jail records indicate he remains in custody and is being held without bail.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
