Stabbed man walks into Hemet fire station, HPD investigating

HEMET –Authorities are investigating a stabbing that was reported earlier today, Tuesday, Jan. 15, after a man walked up to a Hemet fire station with a stab wound. Firefighter/paramedics immediately began treating the victim and contacted Hemet PD, who responded to the station and began investigating the incident.

Hemet PD was first alerted to the stabbing around 11:20 a.m., when firefighters from Hemet Fire Station 3, located at
4110 W. Devonshire Ave., reported to the City’s Communication’s Center that a black male adult had walked up to the station with a stab wound.

While officers and an AMR ambulance crew responded to the station house, paramedics began treating the victim. Officers soon arrived and began interviewing the victim, before AMR transported him to Hemet Valley Hospital for further treatment.

The full extent and nature of the man’s injuries was not immediately known and the victim’s condition has not been updated.

Hemet PD’s investigation is ongoing and officials have not released any information related to the incident.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
