Enjoy a good laugh with Murrieta PD’s Weekly Roundup 2/15

From Murrieta Police Department:

In today’s “Lighter Side of the News…”

– Friday evening Officer Bock was in the right place at the right time – depending on what side of the story you’re on. Dispatch had received a report of suspicious activity in the shopping center along Madison Avenue. The caller stated that they had witnessed a male running through the parking lot with clothing still on the hangers. #maybeheforgothisreusablebags Officer Bock was in the area as the call was broadcasted so he #skadootled on over and found the car the caller had described to the dispatcher. Inside the car were Nicholas Limatola, Dyllan Moore, Jeremy Ortolano and Daniel Salazar. These four gentlemen were not happy that Officer Bock was in the right place at the right time. #itsallperspective Nicholas was arrested for shoplifting, Dyllan and Jeremy were arrested for narcotics, and the trio was booked into #CBDC. Daniel was arrested for his outstanding warrants and released at the hospital with citations.

– I think that it’s time for a refresher on what to do if you are in a minor traffic collision. 1 – Pull safely out of traffic. 2 – Exchange information with the other driver. 3 – Give that information to your insurance company. Things not to do after a minor traffic collision: 1 – Block traffic while you post it on social media. 2 – Call your momma, daddy, baby daddy, baby momma, cousin and neighbor before safely pulling out of traffic. 3 – Punch the other driver in the nose. Twice. #yepthathappened Misty Roberts and James Deryke were together when they were involved in a minor traffic collision with another driver. Misty and James completed step one of what you should do after a minor traffic collision, however Misty jumped right to number three of what not to do. #forrealtho Misty was arrested for battery and James was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license. Misty and James were taken to #thebyrdhouse and the other driver was left with a story to tell and a sore nose.

– Saturday morning Officer Aponte conducted a traffic stop on Keller Road and met Nathaniel Curry and Chelsea Pedersen. Chelsea and Nathaniel’s weekend was cut short because she had some narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia and he had a felony warrant. #changeofplans #gottabeflexableifyoouregoingtocommitcrime

– Scott Dodd was arrested twice in less than 24 hours. Friday night he was arrested for violating his probation by having narcotics. Saturday evening he was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Hopefully Monday was a better day for him. #hopefully #betterday

– Monday morning, just after midnight #sayitwithme #nothinggoodhappensaftermidnight Corporal Moll conducted a traffic stop and met the two occupants. During a records check on both subjects, Corproral Moll discovered that the passenger, Rosa Calcaro had three outstanding misdemeanor warrants. #saywhat Officer Mehr arrived to assist Corporal Moll because #teamwork #makesthedreamwork and discovered that Ms. Calcaro not only had heroin hidden on her, she also had a social security card, EBT card and identification card in her possession. #theywerenthers It turns out that the social security card, EBT card and identification card were reported stolen out of Lake Elsinore. Rosa was arrested for her warrants, the heroin and possessing stolen property. #ifitsnotyoursdonttakeit #welearnedthatinpreschool

– If you choose to not go to court and end up with three felony warrants, it would #behoove you to not get in a loud argument and make a scene in a public place. Officer Schmidt responded to subjects arguing Monday morning and found Marcus Ferguson arguing with a female. Officer Schmidt also found Marcus’ three felony warrants. Officer Schmidt then helped Marcus find the jail so they could escort him to the court to take care of his three warrants. #sohelpful #handleyourbusiness #andwewonthaveto

– Monday afternoon Officer Gannuscio arrested Gregory Sanchez after he was caught attempting to steal from a local clothing store. In case you were wondering, using wire cutters to cut of the security device is not allowed. You will go to jail for possessing burglary tools and vandalism for destroying the security devices. #justbuyitlikeeveryoneelse #duh

– Tuesday the SET team served a search warrant that stemmed from an ongoing narcotics investigation. During the warrant, they discovered a large amount of meth, a loaded gun and multiple items related to the sales of narcotics. Joseph Farren was arrested and booked into #CBDC. #hookinandbookin #thoseguysarebusy

– Thursday the #PPCT Team was conducting follow up from a theft investigation that led them to Lake Elsinore. #birdtract There, they contacted Rodney Rice who is on parole. During their contact, Rodney decided that he no longer wanted to participate in the conversation and took off running. #heywhereareyougoing #imstartingtothinkyoureguilty Additional officers quickly arrived and they located Rodney, but not before finding another person with a felony warrant. #somanyfelonywarrants Steven Martin was in the wrong place at the wrong time and he and Rodney went to #thebyrdhouse. #alittleraindoesntstopthePPCT
