Officials investigating Mead Valley murder
MEAD VALLEY — Authorities are investigating the murder of a man who was shot multiple times in Mead Valley Wednesday evening, April 10. The deadly shooting happened in the area of Decker and Marquez roads.

Shots fired send officers scrambling into Hemet neighborhood
Perris Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a call of shots fired around 9:45 p.m., after witnesses reported hearing about six to eight shot gunshots followed by a car fleeing from the area at a high rate of speed.
“Deputies arrived within minutes and located a vehicle on Decker Rd. with an adult male inside who suffered multiple gunshot wounds,” Riverside Sheriff’s Wallace Clear later reported.

Quest transported the victim to Riverside Community Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim’s name is being withheld, pending further investigation and notification of the man’s family.
Based on the circumstances, Perris Station and Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation, which is ongoing.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
