Woman hospitalized after Hemet “T-Bone” crash
HEMET — One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision in Hemet this afternoon, Wednesday, Sept. 11. The minor injury crash happened at the intersection of E. Menlo Ave. and Buena Vista St.

City of Hemet Police and Fire Departments along with AMR medics were dispatched to the scene around 1:50 p.m., after receiving reports of a two-vehicle traffic collision between a truck and sedan that were involved in a broadside collision at the four-way stop sign controlled intersection.
One person was injured when two vehicles were involved in a broadside collision this afternoon.
When officials arrived they found a dark-colored Dodge Durango with minor front-end damage pulled over to the side of the road and a silver Nissan Versa with moderate passenger-side damage blocking the roadway near the middle of the intersection. All the Nissan’s airbags were deployed.
Paramedics evaluated and treated the occupants from the two vehicles, and one woman was transported by ground ambulance to Hemet Valley Hospital for further treatment of her minor injuries.
The driver of the SUV reported from the scene that the accident happened when the driver of the sedan pulled out in front of her, but Hemet PD is investigating the cause of the collision. Their investigation is ongoing.

Trevor Montgomery, 48, moved last year to the Intermountain area of Shasta County from Riverside County and runs Riverside County News Source and Shasta County News Source. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
