Coordinated sweep nets 18, weapons & drugs seized
ANDERSON — Eighteen people were arrested and two firearms, along with about one pound of methamphetamine, and a half-pound of heroin, were seized when several law enforcement agencies worked together during a south county probation and parole sweep Tuesday, Feb. 4.

More than fifty people were contacted during Tuesday’s sweep when Anderson Police Department POP Team, along with members of the Shasta County Sheriffs Office, Shasta County Probation Department, Shasta Inter-Agency Narcotics Task Force, and CDCR Parole, worked together to conduct the probation and parole compliance operation.

During the coordinated sweep officials arrested 18 people, including nine who were arrested on active warrants and nine others who were arrested on fresh charges, according to an Anderson PD social media release.
The new charges included felons being in possession of firearms and ammunition, narcotics possession, possession of narcotics for sales, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and probation violations.
After the successful operation Anderson PD said their POP Team will continue to partner with their allied agencies to promote public safety in their communities, while ensuring supervised offenders are abiding by the terms and conditions of their release.

Trevor spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
