Two of three arrested after CVS armed robbery
REDDING — Authorities today announced the arrest of two of three suspects they allege robbed a Redding CVS Pharmacy earlier this month.
After leading officers on a high-speed pursuit and eluding officials after abandoning their vehicle in Anderson, the two men who were apprehended fled to the Bakersfield area after the robbery, according to Redding PD officials. Officers are still searching for a third suspect, who has not yet been located.

Redding Police Department began investigating the armed robbery around 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, Redding Police Lt. Levi Solada reported today. Victims reported three men had fled the area after robbing the pharmacy at gunpoint.
While responding to the scene, officers spotted the three suspects in a vehicle that was traveling southbound on I-5.
When officials attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to yield and sped away; eventually abandoning their vehicle in the City of Anderson. Despite searching the area for the trio, the alleged suspects managed to elude capture that evening, according to Solada.
Officers say they arrested two Bakersfield men in connection with the Feb. 5 robbery of a Redding CVS Pharmacy. The third suspect is still outstanding.
Redding PD Investigators took over the investigation and obtained a search warrant for the vehicle the suspects abandoned after the pursuit.
As a result of the search, “numerous items of evidence” were recovered from the vehicle, according to the Lt.; who said “This helped lead to the identities of two of the armed robbers.”
The two men were identified as Vannoy Sutton, 21, and Daelen Robinson, 24. Both men reside in Bakersfield.
As their investigation was continuing, on Feb. 13, investigators obtained arrest warrants for both Sutton and Robinson.
Officers located and arrested Vannoy Sutton, who was already in a Kern County jail on unrelated charges, and Daelen Robinson. Both are currently awaiting extradition back to Shasta County.
Investigators soon learned that Robinson had already been arrested in Bakersfield on unrelated charges and was still in custody at the Kern County Jail; where he was re-arrested based on the robbery warrant.
Working with Bakersfield PD investigators, officials also located Sutton yesterday afternoon and arrested him on Redding PD’s outstanding robbery warrant.
“Both suspects are currently being held in the Kern County Jail and are awaiting extradition to Shasta County for the CVS robbery,” Solada explained, saying, “Investigators are continuing their investigation to identify the last outstanding suspect and bring him to justice.”
