Argument between Riverside brothers leads to stabbing

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — An apparent argument between two brothers reportedly led to one of the men pulling out a knife and stabbing the other man, Thursday morning, Jan 14.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening knife wound to his shoulder area and the man who reportedly stabbed him was not immediately apprehended, according to witnesses at the scene.

City of Riverside Police and Fire personnel were dispatched to a private residence in the area of Kenmill and Nixon streets around 10:30 a.m., after receiving reports of a stabbing.

When officials arrived they found one man with a stab wound to his shoulder area. Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Although Riverside PD has not released any information regarding the incident, Johnny Lopez of Lone Wolf Media and News later reported, “Apparently he and his brother got into some kind of argument and his brother produced a knife, stabbing the man.”

The suspect reportedly fled the area in his vehicle prior to officers’ arrival at the scene, Lopez reported.
