Online “Meal Marketplace” FamilyGrab.com set to expand into Riverside County

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. — Already online for business in Washington, FamilyGrab is a free-to-use “Meal Marketplace” offering local food vendors a place to list their family food options for hungry customers and is set to launch in Riverside County in the coming weeks.

In anticipation of their rapidly approaching launch date, the successful and growing business is encouraging local food providers like restaurants, food trucks and caterers to create large, family-style meals starting at less than $20 to list on the FamilyGrab.com website or phone app.

“We all know local restaurants and food providers were struggling through the pandemic and we believe the global health crisis taught us how important it is to support them,” Denise Cook, Director of Operations for FamilyGrab told RCNS today.

“We also learned to appreciate how hard-working families love to eat out,” she continued; adding, “But when paying by the plate it can be cost prohibitive and taking a family of four through a fast food drive-thru can cost much more than $20. We all know our options of fast food and takeout pizza, but we need better, local options.”

“FamilyGrab is here to bridge the gap between local food providers and busy, overworked adults who need help providing affordable meals for their families,” she explained.

“Also, we hope to be an option when people are looking to send a meal to Grandma when she is sick, or your friend who just had a baby and you want to send over a dinner,” Cook enthused; adding that one of FamilyGrab’s existing vendors has said that customers looking to gift meals in this way accounts for a large percentage of his business.

“FamilyGrab is here to bridge the gap between local food providers and busy, overworked adults who need help providing affordable meals for their families,” FamilyGrab Director of Operations Denise Cook told RCNS today; adding that the service offers the perfect venue for vendors. “It’s a dream ‘side hustle’ for moms, retirees, college students or anyone wanting extra income,” she explained.

With FamilyGrab’s California launch just weeks away, Cook encourages food vendors interested in joining the FG family, to be creative in their family meals, and to use inexpensive family recipes found online for inspiration.

“These part time cooks become licensed and earn a significant income working just a few days a week,” Cook explained.

“It’s a dream ‘side hustle’ for moms, retirees, college students or anyone wanting extra income,” she described. “This model can be used in any town or city with great profits. It’s also an incredible opportunity for locals living in resort or tourist towns to sell meals to family vacationers looking for a delivered meal at the end of a long day at the beach or amusement park.”

“The more food vendors and customers we can connect through the website the more people we can help. It may take time to build, but we know strong communities can do it,” says Cook. The website listings will start in Riverside County and expand over time.

While FamilyGrab is continuing to search for qualified Riverside County businesses to join their service, they currently feature more than 100 meals from around 80 restaurants and meal providers throughout the state of Washington, with meal offerings there including a wide-selection of family meal deals, with most priced at $20 or less.

Some of FamilyGrab’s incredible variety of listings there include homemade minestrone soup, or baked meatball or sausage rigatoni from Mamma Mia’s in Spokane, WA. Both meals serve five to six and are listed at just $20. Or hungry FamilyGrab patrons can use the service to contact Maple Street Bistro in Spokane; whose business offers two whole (large) grilled paninis in six varieties – enough for four – for just $19.90, or creamy tomato basil soup for four to five at just $18. Also listed by Ferraro’s Family Italian in Spokane are offerings of spaghetti & meatballs or homemade lasagna – both enough for up to four – for just $20.

Other current listings include grande nachos for up to five people for just $12.50 from Spokane’s Maracas Mexican Grill, and Australian meat pies – enough to feed up to five hungry family members and friends – from the Australian Pie Co. in Seattle, WA., for just $20.

With FamilyGrab’s Riverside County opening occurring in the coming weeks, Cook encourages people to tell their favorite restaurants, food trucks and caterers to join the new service.

“We’re expecting to go live within the next two weeks,” Cook explained. “Our restaurants are still finalizing their meal options and we want to give them time to be prepared to showcase their cuisine and provide the best customer service possible when we go live.”

Visit the FamilyGrab.com website and make sure to check back frequently for new menu options. FamilyGrab.com will show meals available in your area by zip code or closest to your current location and menu items can be listed as hot or bake at home.
