Man stabbed multiple times in Norco, Riverside man arrested
NORCO, CALIF., — Authorities say a violent encounter involving a man who was stabbed multiple times in Norco late last month led to the arrest of a Riverside man this week.
The victim survived the stabbing and is continuing to recover after the incident, which occurred at a residence in the 1600 block of Valley View Avenue, according to officials.

Deputies assigned to the Norco Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the home around 3 a.m. early Saturday morning, Oct. 30, after receiving reports of a stabbing that had just occurred, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Aaron Avila has since said of the incident and arrest.
When deputies arrived they found an adult male victim with numerous stab wounds, according to the Sergeant.
Deputies immediately began rendering medical aid to the victim and continued until paramedics arrived and rushed the man by ambulance to an area hospital for advanced emergency medical treatment.
No arrests were made the day of the violent encounter and the Norco Special Enforcement Team assumed the investigation.
SET deputies ultimately identified the suspect as Ethan Melnikoff, a 19-year-old Riverside resident, according to Grmusha.
On Wednesday, Nov. 3, Norco SET deputies teamed up with the Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Bureau to serve a search warrant at the suspect’s residence “where additional evidence was located,” said Grmusha.
Based on their investigation and findings, officials arrested Melnikoff without incident and he was later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of attempted murder.

Grmusha did not say what may have led to the stabbing and no further details have been released.
