Four hospitalized after multi-vehicle Jurupa Valley crash

JURUPA VALLEY, Calif., — Authorities say four people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle traffic collision in Jurupa Valley last night, Sunday, Nov. 7. The accident, which left one person with moderate injuries and three others with minor injuries, happened in the area of Rubidoux Boulevard and 36th Street, near Ina Arbuckle Elementary School, according to Cal Fire – Riverside.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, along with Cal Fire and other emergency responders, were dispatched to the scene around 6:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a traffic collision involving several vehicles, Cal Fire reported last night. Photographs from the scene indicated that at least three vehicles were involved in the crash.

When officials arrived they found several wrecked and heavily damaged vehicles and began treating four victims who were injured as a result of the crash.

Firefighters immediately set about freeing some of the trapped and injured victims from their vehicles before all four were transported to area hospitals for further treatment.

Officials who investigated the cause of the crash have not yet released any information about their investigation, which is active and ongoing.

During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
