Palm Desert Burglary Investigation Yields Two Arrests

Indio, Calif., After a lengthy burglary investigation, two arrests have been made; one arrest of a female suspect directly connected to the burglary and a second arrest of a male related to a warrant.
According to Sergeant Eller of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, on July 26, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Palm Desert Station’s Burglary Suppression Unit began investigating a vehicle burglary that occurred near the 72000 block of Hwy 74, Palm Desert.
The team’s subsequent investigation revealed that a female suspect used the victim’s credit cards at a local area business shortly after the theft.
Yesenia Pacheco Palomino
Through thorough and exhaustive investigative means, the suspect was identified as 28-year-old, Indio resident, Yesenia Pacheco Palomino. Members of the Burglary Suppression Team located Palomino and she was taken into custody without incident. At the time of her arrest Palomino was found to be in possession of additional stolen property, that was identified as belonging to the victim.
A records check revealed on October 14, Palomino was booked at the Larson Justice Center in Indio for carrying a loaded firearm, child endangerment and falsely impersonating another for financial gain. Palomino’s bail at the time was set at $35,000 and records indicate she was released within just hours of that arrest.
On November 10, the Burglary Suppression Unit, assisted by the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, served two property related search warrants for residences located on the 43000 block of Wild Rose St., and the 82000 block of Olivera Way, both in the city of Indio.
During the service of those search warrants members of the Burglary Suppression Unit and Special Enforcement Team recovered two firearms, ammunition and Methamphetamine for sales.
Basilio Gonzalez
A 57-year-old, Indio resident, identified as Basilio Gonzalez, was arrested for an outstanding domestic violence warrant during the service of those search warrants. Gonzalez was booked into the Riverside County Jail located in the city of Indio.
