Theft Suppression Team arrests 5 during search warrant service in Lake Elsinore
LAKE ELSINORE – Deputies arrested five people on March 15, following a burglary and theft investigation, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s official.
During their investigation, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Police Department’s Theft Suppression Team developed information that illegal drugs and stolen guns were being kept at a house in the 30000 block of Via Lakistas, in Lake Elsinore.
As a result of credible information gathered by the Theft Suppression Team, deputies authored and served the search warrant with assistance from the Lake Elsinore PD’s Special Enforcement Team, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sergeant James Woodland.
Toby Elias was arrested after a warrant service in Lake Elsinore.
Andrew Pasqua was arrested after a warrant service in Lake Elsinore.
When deputies served the warrant, they detained five people, identified as Toby Elias, 39, Andrew Pasqua, 51, Stefani Abrahamson, 27, Stephanie Meneses, 30, and Penelope Smith, 22. All are residents of Lake Elsinore.
During the service of the warrant, deputies recovered one gun, more than four ounces of methamphetamine, numerous stolen credit cards and checks, and large amounts of stolen mail, according to Woodland.
Deputies conducted a records check and discovered Abrahamson, Menses and Smith all had misdemeanor warrants.
Based on their investigation, deputies arrested all five alleged suspects for a variety of charges and their warrants.
After the warrant service, Abrahamson, Meneses and Smith were cited and released for their warrants, according to Woodland.
Deputies transported Elias and Pasqua to the Southwest Detention Center where they were booked for charges related to the evidence seized during the warrant service.
A jail records search showed Elias was charged with being in possession of methamphetamine, drug sales, being a felon in possession of a gun, possession of stolen property, and identity theft.
Pasqua was booked for possession of methamphetamine and conspiracy to sell drugs.
