Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighters and other emergency first responders rushed to the scene of the reported traffic collision. The first on-scene emergency personnel reportedly arrived within minutes of the initially dispatched call.

Firefighters and other emergency first responders quickly located a downed motorcycle and rider laying in the westbound lanes. Witnesses on scene, who were providing aid and comfort to the downed rider, reported that he was alert and talking with paramedics.

One motorist, who saw the violent collision, told investigating officers they saw a red Ford F150 being driven eastbound on Hwy 74 when the driver of the pickup truck suddenly turned into a driveway to a dirt-lot on the north side of the street. The motorcyclist was not able to stop in time and struck the truck broadside, causing major damage to the motorcycle and minor damage to the Ford F150.

CHP officers are conducting an investigation into this accident.
