Parolee arrested after stabbing Jurupa Valley victim multiple times

JURUPA VALLEY – A man was hospitalized Wednesday, May 25, after being stabbed multiple times in Jurupa Valley, according to sheriff officials. The stabbing occurred in the 8500 block of 45th Street. The location where the stabbing occurred is just south of Mission Boulevard.

At about 11:30 a.m., deputies from the Riverside County Jurupa Valley Station and other emergency personnel responded to the report a man who had stabbed another man multiple times.

Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before they transported him to a local hospital. Despite sustaining multiple stab wounds, the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to officials.

During their investigation, deputies identified 22-year-old Ivan Ignacio Torres as the alleged suspect in the stabbing. They located Torres in the area where the stabbing occurred, on 44th Street near Pedley Road.

Deputies conducted a records check on Torres and discovered he was on felony parole for a previous crime.

At the conclusion of their investigation, deputies arrested Torres and transported him to the Robert Presley Detention Center.

A jail records search revealed Torres was booked for suspicion of attempted murder and violation of his parole terms. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned May 27, at the Riverside Hall of Justice.
