BREAKING: Man suffers life-threatening wounds in Hemet stabbing

HEMET – A man sustained potentially life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed at the Santa Rosa Mobile Home Park at 1455 S. State Street in Hemet. The incident happened Monday afternoon, Sept. 5.

Hemet Police officers and other officials are investigating the stabbing that reportedly involved two brothers. After the stabbing, the alleged suspect fled the location in a Nissan van.

Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before he was transported to the Hemet Valley Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. His current condition is unknown.

While officers were still at the mobile home park conducting an investigation the suspect unexpectedly returned to the scene of the crime. He was detained without incident. He was reportedly positively identified by at least one witness to the stabbing.

Trevor Montgomery spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg in an off-duty accident.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 11 (soon to be 12) grandchildren.
