HFD/HPD/AMR Enroute
At 6:25 p.m., an older VW struck a minor on a bike riding west on Kimball across Santa Fe.
The driver pulled over and the minor had a safety helmet on.
A good citizen rendered aid and the minor was not moved untill HFD/AMR arrived.
The minor’s parent was notified and came to the scene. The minor had knee pain and a few abrasions.
AMR transported the juvenile victim for further evaluation.
“I was on my way home and saw all the bystanders and the child laying in the road,” Carter said. “It’s emotional to witness and be there and hard to take in sometimes what happened”
“Thank you to the lady who stepped up and helped and everyone for being there,” Carter continued. “Prayers for the parents and child as well as the driver”
