SAN JACINTO: Man arrested after making bomb threats against SJPD station

SAN JACINTO – A man was arrested after using a telephone at the San Jacinto Police Station to place several calls regarding a bomb or bombs that he placed at the police station Friday, October 14.

Deputies located the suspect, identified as Timothy Furr, 33, of Beaumont, just after midnight lurking near the police station.

During their initial contact with Furr, he allegedly admitted to deputies he was the one who had made the bomb threats, according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Bill Guimont.

Deputies searched the San Jacinto Police Station and surrounding areas for any bombs or suspicious devices or packages. Their search did not reveal anything of a suspicious nature, Guimont wrote in a press release about the incident and arrest.

Furr was arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional suspicion of making a bomb threat.
