The pedestrian who was struck by a car in the area of S. State and 7th Streets Sunday, Oct. 16, remained in critical condition at a local hospital until Friday, Oct. 21, when she succumbed to her injuries, according to an update provided by Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Burns.
A preliminary investigation into the fatal collision revealed the adult female was crossing State Street near 7th Street when she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on State Street. The victim was not using an established crosswalk to cross the street.
The woman’s identity is being withheld pending notification of her family.
Alcohol and drug intoxication do not appear to be factors in the investigation, according to Burns.

SAN JACINTO – A woman sustained major traumatic injuries when she was struck by a car Sunday, Oct. 16. The accident happened across from a Mobil gas station in the area of S. State and 7th Streets.
The collision was reported to Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters and deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s San Jacinto Police Station at 7:49 p.m.
Deputies began arriving within one minute of the call being dispatched. Firefighters and American Medical Response medics arrived moments later.
One witness at the scene, who asked not to be named, said she did not see the accident, but heard the impact. When she and others went to be by the woman’s side, she saw the pedestrian’s leg bones were sticking through the skin, indicating the victim suffered at least one or more compound fractures.
Firefighters and paramedics treated the pedestrian, described as an adult female, at the scene before they transported her to a local hospital via ground ambulance with major traumatic injuries.

No further information was available regarding the victim’s medical status.
The driver of the red car that hit the pedestrian remained at the scene and was reportedly cooperating with deputies.
Deputies from the sheriff’s San Jacinto Police Station are conducting an investigation into the accident.

Why wasn’t more written about this accident. It seems this article is missing a lot of information, what happen to the guy who hit Tina Moye? Tina loss her life. How fast was the man in the red car going/was he on his cell phone or texting? Was this accident broadcast on any of the news channels? This poor woman had children and grandchildren who loved her dearly. There needs to be some kind of justice for Tina Moye! Did the guy contact the family?
