SAN JACINTO: Suspects sought in armed carjacking

SAN JACINTO – Two men carjacked a vehicle from a man after threatening him at gunpoint Monday, Nov. 7. The incident happened in the 100 block of South Ramona Boulevard in San Jacinto.

The suspects have not been identified or apprehended. The victim escaped the ordeal without injury.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s San Jacinto Police Station responded to the location where the incident occurred at 8:02 p.m., after the carjacking victim called 911 to report the incident.

The victim told investigating deputies he was stopped at the location when he and a friend were approached by two black males believed to be in their 20’s. Both alleged suspects were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

One of the men brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle, according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Craig McDonald. The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and allowed the men to take his car. After the two suspects got into the victim’s vehicle they were last seen fleeing northbound on Ramona Boulevard towards State Street.

McDonald described the car as a black 1997 Audi A4 with California license plates 4GNU064.

Deputies searched the area for the vehicle and the two men, but were unable to locate the car or the suspects.

Trevor Montgomery spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg in an off-duty accident.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
