FOUNTAIN VALLEY: Hemet resident arrested for lewd acts in FV alley

FOUNTAIN VALLEY – A Hemet resident was arrested over the weekend for lewd acts and violation of probation after he was caught masturbating in an alley behind a shopping center by Fountain Valley police officers Sunday morning, Dec 4. The incident and arrest happened in the rear alley of 18533 Brookhurst Street at the intersection of Ellis Avenue in Fountain Valley.

William Bowyers was arrested after he was caught masturbating in a Fountain Valley Alleyway.

After an investigation, officers arrested William Bowyer, 31, of Hemet, and he was booked into Orange County Jail on suspicion of indecent exposure and violation of probation.

The incident began when Fountain Valley police officers were dispatched to the alleyway behind Callens Corner Shopping Center about 7:30 a.m., after a citizen called 911 to report seeing Bowyer masturbating in public.

When officers arrived at the location they found Bowyer lying on the ground inside a sleeping bag. During questioning, Bowyer admitted he had been masturbating in public view before their arrival.

Officers conducted a records check and learned Bowyer already had prior convictions for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct/soliciting lewd acts. They also learned he was on probation.

Based on the witness statements and Bowyer’s admission, officers arrested him and booked him into the Orange County Jail.
