After an investigation, officers arrested 25-year-old, Miguel Robles. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of vehicle burglary, possession of burglary tools and drug-related charges.

Officers responded to the area about 1 a.m., after a witness called 911 to report a vehicle burglary they had just witnessed happening.

The suspect fled the area just prior to officer’s arrival.

While one officer interviewed the witness and gathered information about the suspect and where he was last seen going, another officer searched the area for the man. The officer eventually located Robles in the Duke’s Bar parking lot in the area of Iowa Avenue and Blaine Street.

The officer detained Robles for further investigation. During a subsequent search, officers discovered Robles was in possession of burglary tools, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The witness who originally called 911 was able to positively identify Robles as the man he had seen breaking into the vehicle.

Officers located the owner of the vehicle, who confirmed their vehicle had been broken into and that a burglary had occurred.

Based on the recovered evidence and the witness and victim statements, officers arrested Robles.

An online jail records search revealed Robles is being held on $10,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Riverside Hall Of Justice April 12.
