RIVERSIDE: Probationer arrested after compliance check
RIVERSIDE – Police officials yesterday announced the arrest of a probationer, who was found in possession of narcotics, illegally modified and stolen weapons and ammunition. The man was arrested Wednesday, May 3, in the 8700 block of Bruce Avenue in Riverside.
At the end of the compliance sweep officers arrested Joe Louis Moore, 32, of Riverside. He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of committing 17 felonies and four misdemeanors.
His charges included multiple counts of child endangerment and willful harm to a child, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed, sales of a controlled substance, possession of a short barrel rifle, possession of an assault weapon, violation of probation and other charges, City of Riverside police officials said in a social media press release.
The West Post Release Accountability and Compliance Team conducted the probation search at the residence about 4:47 p.m.
“During the probation search, PACT personnel located an AR-15 assault rifle, a .22 caliber short barrel rifle, and a .38 caliber revolver,” officials explained. “PACT personnel also located numerous rounds of live ammunition and 26 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The AR-15 was found to be a reported stolen firearm from Colorado.”
An online jail records search revealed Moore was released may 5, after posting $30,000 bail. His next scheduled court date is at the Riverside Hall of Justice May 16.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
