NORCO: Man arrested after caught with stolen vehicle, illegal dagger

NORCO — A man was arrested Tuesday, August 1, after he was found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle. The man was arrested at a business, in the 1600 block of Hamner Avenue, in the city of Norco, according to sheriff’s officials.

After an investigation, deputies arrested Mario Nunez, 21, of El Cerrito. He was subsequently booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and a dirk/dagger, Sergeant William Davis said in a written press release after the incident and arrest.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Norco Station located the stolen vehicle at 11:34 a.m., and began investigating the vehicle theft. Their investigation determined the vehicle had been stolen from the city of Corona, July 12.
