Deputies from the Menifee and Perris Station’s Special Enforcement Teams served the narcotics-related search warrant at a private residence in the 18000 block of Tereticornis Avenue in Lake Elsinore, about 3:30 p.m. The home where the warrant was served is west of 11th Street and east of El Toro Road.

Online jail records indicated the suspect, identified as Jesus “Jesse” Aleman-Muniz, 47, of Lake Elsinore, was located and arrested about a block away, on Eucalyptus Avenue near Red Gum Drive.

“The search warrant was a culmination of a month-long narcotic investigation,” Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Sam Morovich explained in a written press release after the service of the search warrant.

Officials allege Aleman-Muniz was providing “large quantities of heroin to other dealers to be sold within the city of Menifee,” said Morovich.

During the service of the search warrant, officials located and seized over three pounds of heroin, twenty grams of methamphetamine, and a small quantity of cocaine.

After the service of the search warrant, SET members arrested Aleman-Muniz. He was later booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of possession of heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine with the intent to distribute as well as committing a felony while out of jail on bail or early release.

Aleman-Muniz was released from custody the morning after his arrest after he posted $220,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Riverside Hall of Justice, Sept. 29
