SAN JACINTO: Elderly woman injured after car plows into tree

SAN JACINTO — Officials are investigating the cause of a single-vehicle collision after a driver smashed into a tree this morning. The driver, described as elderly woman, was hospitalized after the early-morning accident that happened Wednesday, Sept. 6, on S. Santa Fe Street near W. Esplanade Avenue in San Jacinto.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s San Jacinto Station, Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters and other emergency first responders were dispatched to what was reported as a single-vehicle, rollover accident about 6:20 a.m.

When sheriff and fire officials arrived at the scene they found the destroyed remains of a silver or grey SUV. The car had sustained major front-end damage. Vehicle parts, debris and parts of the tree were strewn about the roadway, blocking several lanes of traffic in both directions,

The tree the victim plowed into was heavily damaged, but remained standing.

At least one witness was at the victim’s side, providing her aid and comfort while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

The victim was evaluated by American Medical Response medics and transported to an area hospital for further treatment.

Sheriff’s officials investigated the cause of the collision while the remains of the victim’s vehicle were removed from the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
